Privacy and your data
What stays on your computer, what Watch stores, where it is hosted, and how to ask for your data to be deleted.
This is a short summary. The full notice is at Privacy & your data.
What stays on your computer
Recordings, screenshots and meetings start on your computer and stay there. Captions and meeting transcripts are made on your computer with downloaded speech models. Nothing is uploaded until you share it.
Where Watch is hosted
BestShot Watch runs on a Hetzner server in the Helsinki region of Finland. Google Drive and GoHighLevel store your shared videos under their own terms, and may process data in other countries.
What Watch stores
- Your account: name, email, profile photo, sign-in details, workspace membership and preferences. Passwords, where used, are stored as salted hashes.
- Your shared shots: titles, file references, sharing settings, transcripts and summaries you publish, comments, reactions and view records. A guest comment includes the name the guest types.
- Storage connections: an encrypted credential for the specific Drive files BestShot uses (not your whole Drive), and for GoHighLevel your Location ID, folder and encrypted token.
Drive videos stream through the Watch server when someone watches. Private pages are protected by Watch's access checks, but Watch is not end-to-end encrypted: the service operator has technical access to the server and to connected media within the permissions you granted.
Your choices
- Record without connecting any storage, or turn off automatic upload for Link takes in Settings → Uploads.
- Choose each page's access carefully. See Choose who can watch.
- Disconnect Google Drive or GoHighLevel from your Watch account menu, or revoke access in your Google Account.
Ask for your data or for deletion
Email hi@stephenlovino.com from your account's email address to ask for a copy of your account information or for your account to be deleted. Deleting a Watch shot or account does not delete the copies in your Google Drive or GoHighLevel, or on your computer; delete those separately.
