Where your recordings are stored
Your computer first, then your Google Drive or GoHighLevel when you share. Watch is the page that plays them.
BestShot is local first. Nothing leaves your computer until you share it.
On your computer
Recordings, screenshots, meetings and guides are saved on your computer and stay there until you delete them. Editing never changes the original tracks: BestShot keeps every track as you recorded it and saves your edits alongside.
On a Mac they are in BestShot's app data folder, ~/Library/Application Support/com.stephenlovino.bestshot.app/, with recordings in recordings, screenshots in screenshots and meetings in meetings.
When you share
Sharing uploads a copy and leaves the original where it is:
- Google Drive: the video goes into a BestShot folder in your own Drive. It is kept for as long as you keep the file, and your Drive space is the limit.
- GoHighLevel: the video goes into your sub-account's Media Storage, in the folder you choose.
What Watch keeps
BestShot Watch is the page that plays your recording and holds its comments. Watch keeps the page's details: the title, description, access setting, transcript, comments, reactions and view counts, plus a small preview picture for link previews. The video itself is played from your Drive or GoHighLevel.
On the Free plan Watch keeps shared recordings for 7 days; Cloud keeps them forever. See Free and Cloud.
Deleting
Deleting a page on Watch removes it from Watch. It does not delete the file in your Google Drive or GoHighLevel, or the recording on your computer; delete those separately.
